Our company provides one free in person consultation with our client to discuss your landscaping needs or comprehensive landscape designs for either home or business owners on projects of all sizes, in any style suitable to your tastes and architectural needs.
Step 1: Scheduling and Introduction
For inquiries, please contact our company at (916) 257-0735 or email us to schedule an in-person consultation. We prioritize face-to-face meetings, as we believe this approach ensures the best contractor experience in Sacramento. Our representatives are dedicated to discussing all aspects of your project in detail.
Recognizing that every yard and project is unique, our team aims to maximize the potential of every square foot in your front or back yard. We look forward to working with you!
Step 2: Consultation
During your in-person consultation, one of our team members will introduce themselves and guide you through the process. We will have a portfolio available to showcase our past projects and assist in shaping your landscaping vision.
For larger-scale projects (ranging from $60,000 to $500,000 and above), it is essential to develop a comprehensive landscape design. We collaborate with some of the top Landscape Architects in Sacramento to ensure high-quality results.
If you choose to work with us on the project outlined in the design, we will roll the design fee into the total project cost, effectively saving you that expense.
At the conclusion of the consultation, you will receive a business card that includes our QR code, providing easy access to our social media platforms, including Yelp, Instagram, Houzz, our website, and TikTok.
Working With A Landscape Designer
For comprehensive landscape design services, the typical process begins with an initial meeting to discuss key design parameters, including:
- Functions of various areas of the property
- Needs of the intended users
- Style and color preferences
- Required design elements
- Maintenance considerations
- Privacy issues
- Sun and shade patterns
- Lighting requirements
- Pet accommodations
- CC&R (Covenants, Conditions, and Restrictions) requirements
Following this, a second meeting typically involves a presentation of the proposed design, during which feedback is gathered and any necessary adjustments are noted.
Step 3: Estimate
Our team members will take measurements, notes, and photographs pertinent to your project. These measurements will be brought back to our office to create a comprehensive estimate. You can expect to receive this estimate no later than the next business day via email.
Once you receive the estimate, please feel free to reach out with any questions or requests for modifications to better align with your budget. At Stuteville Landscaping, we take pride in our attention to detail. That’s why our estimates are presented with thorough line items, clearly outlining the costs associated with your project. We are committed to working with you to adjust the estimate as needed to meet your financial requirements.
Step 4: Contract
Once all parties have agreed on the cost and scope of work, our company will prepare a formal contract. This contract can be sent via DocuSign, or one of our team members can meet you at your property to facilitate the signing.
Please note that, in accordance with California State Law, contractors are permitted to collect a deposit of either 10% of the total project cost or $1,000, whichever is less. This deposit secures your contract and reserves your place in our construction schedule.
Step 5: Walkthrough and Job Start
Prior to the official start date, Eric and Mike will conduct a site walkthrough with our crew members to clearly outline the agreed upon scope of work and ensure alignment between our team and the client.
Following the walkthrough, we will mark the project area with white flags and contact 811 to identify all underground utility lines. Once we receive confirmation from the utility companies—typically within 72 hours of marking—we will proceed with the project.
At the end of each workday, we prioritize safety by ensuring that the job site is free of hazardous materials, creating a safe environment for both your pets and children.
Step 6: Final Walkthrough and Follow up
Upon project completion, our team will conduct a final walkthrough with you to ensure your complete satisfaction with the work performed. Following the project’s conclusion, we will maintain ongoing communication to confirm that everything is operating smoothly with the finished product.
